My knowledge in film and audience communication is vital in the broadcast industry. While interning at KXAN (the NBC affiliate station in Austin) I have grown as a reporter in finding compelling and interesting stories to share. While out in the field, I filmed and wrote my own standups for my packages.

During my time at UT, I was involved in the Texas Student TV organization where I had the opportunity to anchor our weekly Monday night shows. In the fall of 2021, I earned the role of social media producer where I launched an Instagram page to share with UT students breaking news stories and a look behind the scenes of our show.

I am aware of the dominance of social media and the need to have creative posts to engage followers. I have also held several internships in social media and marketing. Therefore, I know how to capture one’s attention in a matter of seconds, edit clips at a quick pace, and create graphics to accompany videos. My expertise is in Adobe Creative Suites, Final Cut Pro, and Canva.
